The telemetry bar shows your aircraft's current state, including mission status, gimbal angles, distance from the pilot and home point, heading and attitude, speed, and altitude (AGL, HAT, and MSL). Pilots can also apply a Building Height AGL Adjustment or an MSL Correction to refine the altitude readings.
The telemetry bar provides detailed information about your drone's current state.
- Current / Next: Shows the aircraft's current state (for example, "On the ground") and the next step, when one applies.
- Gimbal Angles: Shows the camera direction and vertical tilt.
-
Drone/Home Distance: Displays the distance between the drone and the pilot, and between the drone and the home point, as well as the relative direction the drone is facing. The pilot location used for this distance can also be switched to the Remote's location in Settings.
CAUTION: For CrystalSky and WiFi-only devices, the distance to pilot can be inaccurate depending on the RF environment and several other factors. Do not rely solely on this indicator for these devices.
-
Attitude Gyro: Displays the aircraft's heading in degrees on the compass ring and its orientation to the horizon (vertical and horizontal).
The Wind Speed, when available, is also displayed in the center of the Attitude Gyro. - Speed: Shows the horizontal (HRZ) and vertical (VRT) speed of the drone. Negative vertical speed indicates the drone is moving toward the ground.
- AGL, HAT, and MSL: Indicates the drone's altitude Above Ground Level (AGL), Height Above Terrain (HAT), and Mean Sea Level (MSL). These values are calculated by the difference in altitude from the launch point and the distance traveled, as reported by the drone, and depend on the overall accuracy and resolution of the map data for the area you are flying in. To adjust these values, see Altitude Corrections below.
Altitude Corrections
Two settings let pilots fine-tune the altitude reference values in the telemetry bar: Building Height AGL Adjustment and MSL Correction. Both are in the general settings under Altitude Correction. Once either is set, you can also open them by tapping the altitude area of the telemetry bar.
Altitude correction values do not persist between app launches. Re-enter them each time you open the app.
Building Height AGL Adjustment
Enter a building height offset to adjust the AGL reading.
- The adjusted AGL is shown in the telemetry bar.
-
The offset value is recorded in the flight logs.
MSL Correction
Apply a manual MSL correction by entering a direct offset or the barometric pressure.
- When active, the resulting Calculated Sea Level (CSL) is shown in the telemetry bar.
- The correction is recorded in the flight logs.
- This feature must be activated for your organization by our Support Team. Request MSL Correction access.
