This guide walks you through importing a KMZ or KML file into a map layer in Operations Hub.
Operations Hub currently supports KMZ and KML files containing:
Points
Polygons
A single file may include both points and polygons.
Support for polylines will be added in a future update.

Instructions
Before you begin: Ensure your KMZ/KML file is properly formatted and contains only supported geometry types.
- Log in to DroneSense and navigate to Operations Hub.
- Open the Map Layer Manager
- Select the map layer you want to add the KMZ/KML file to.
For this example, we are going to use a Mission Feature Layer called Patrol. - Click the + button
- Click the Import from File button
- Click inside the box to select a file, or drag and drop a file into the square.
- After the File Import Tool analyzes the file, it will provide you with a report of the contents. Click the Next button.
If the file contains invalid points or polygons, an error message will appear. - Depending on the contents of the file, you will need to select a Point Symbol or Polygon Style.
- Select a Point Symbol.
- Select a Polygon Style (or create a new one).
- Select a Point Symbol.
- The Review Import window will allow you an opportunity to make a change or finish the Import.
Click Import to finish importing the file.
The data from the imported file will now be displayed on the map.
