This article provides step-by-step instructions for exporting logs from the DJI Dock 3 using DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series). It covers powering on the dock, connecting via USB-C, launching the correct software, selecting the device, and exporting various log types, with troubleshooting tips included.
Instructions
-
Power On the Dock
Connect DJI Dock 3 to a stable AC power source and verify that all power switches inside the electrical cabinet are ON.
Pro tip: Wait 1–2 minutes after power-up to ensure internal systems fully initialize before connecting USB. -
Connect the USB-C Cable
Open the electrical cabinet and connect your computer to the dedicated USB-C data port on the Dock.
Pro tips:- Use a known data-capable USB-C cable (USB 3.x preferred).
- Avoid hubs or adapters—connect directly to your computer.
- If possible, use a short cable (<1 m) to prevent signal issues.
-
Launch DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series)
Open DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series) on your computer.
Pro tips:- Download the DJI Assistant 2 program from DJI's website and not a 3rd-party site: https://www.dji.com/downloads/products/dock-3#tuning_params
- Make sure you are using the Enterprise Series version. Consumer versions of DJI Assistant 2 will not detect Dock 3.
- Run the application as Administrator (Windows) to avoid USB permission issues.
-
Select the Dock 3 Device
DJI Assistant 2 should automatically detect Dock 3 and display it on the home screen. Click the device icon to enter its management interface.
Pro tip: If the device does not appear within ~30 seconds, disconnect/reconnect the USB cable and relaunch the software. -
Export Logs
Navigate to Log Export (or Data & Logs, depending on version).
Select the required log types:- Dock system logs
- Aircraft logs
- Remote controller / internal control logs
- App or system operation logs
- Click Save to Local and wait for the export to complete.
Pro tip: Log exports can take several minutes—do not disconnect power or USB during export.
