DroneSense Remote update introduces a redesigned camera zoom control panel, a visible OpsHub streaming quality indicator with a manual toggle, account-wide settings sync, and hardened drone/dock connection handling. Bug fixes address a Remote Pilot login loop, dropped recording during video interruptions, overlapping map panel buttons, a flickering targeting reticle, dock AWS settings not persisting, and drones intermittently vanishing from the map.
New and Improved
Camera Zoom Controls
- Updated zoom control to include a full zoom dropdown panel, including quick-jump zoom levels, min/max shortcuts, and a visual zoom scale.
Mission Streaming Status and Control
- Added a visible stream quality indicator and a manual on/off toggle for streaming video to OpsHub (mimics the toggle on Android) so pilots can see connection quality and control whether the stream is active.
Additional Settings Now Sync to Account
- Personal settings (map view, last mission, controller mappings, CAD preferences, and more) now sync to your account through the server instead of only living in your browser.
Hardened Connections to Drones and Docks
- Improved reliability when sending mission and setup information to drones and docks right after connecting, reducing the chance a flight session starts with missing or stale data.
Bug Fixes
- Remote Pilots stuck on login: Fixed a sign-in bug where users with the Remote Pilot Role could get stuck in a sign-in loop and fail to sign in. Remote Pilots now only need the Remote Pilot Role instead of both Remote Pilot and Remote Viewer Roles.
- Recording stopping during brief video interruptions: Fixed an issue where automatic flight recording could stop or drop segments during short video interruptions. Recording now keeps running continuously through brief gaps instead of stopping.
- Map panel buttons overlapping: Fixed the map's layer-list and basemap-gallery buttons so opening one now properly closes the other, instead of both panels overlapping or stacking oddly on screen.
- Flickering targeting reticle: Fixed an issue where the on-screen targeting reticle would sometimes disappear or flicker during operation.
- Dock connection settings resetting: Fixed a bug where a dock's saved Media Upload Settings for AWS would not appear in the UI after restarting the dock.
- Drones disappearing from the map: Fixed an issue where a drone icon could intermittently vanish from the map even when still active if telemetry updates stopped (e.g., in hover).
