DroneSense Remote update includes Versaterm vCAD integration for viewing calls with priority-based icons, Hextronics dock support with manual and autonomous flight, and improved screenshot indicators. Bug fixes address camera controls, emergency site creation, controller status, and altitude display.
New Features
Versaterm vCAD Integration
For DroneSense Remote organizations using Versaterm vCAD, Remote can now display calls for service from the connected CAD system. The DroneSense Remote integration with Versaterm vCAD is currently available to select early-access organizations and must be enabled before the vCAD integration configuration appears in Administrator settings.
Features
DroneSense Remote automatically displays newly entered CAD calls from the connected CAD system.
Call details
- View CAD call priority, tactical channel, display name, address, and call number in the CAD panel.
- Sort CAD calls by priority, from highest to lowest or lowest to highest.
Map display
- View CAD calls on the map with icons based on priority level: P1 displays in red, P2 displays in yellow, and P3/P4 displays in gray.
- View CAD units from the connected CAD system on the map with their location.
Call behavior
- Selecting a CAD call in the panel centers the map on that call.
- Selecting a CAD call also pre-fills the CFS data. After the drone is launched, the CFS information persists throughout the flight.
Current display behavior
CAD unit types are not yet differentiated by icon and currently display as police units.
Hextronics Dock Support
View and control Hextronics docks in DroneSense Remote. Available actions include opening and powering on the drone, toggling drone power, and performing a battery swap. Manual and autonomous flight capabilities are supported.
Note: Hextronics dock support requires the dock to be configured through the DroneSense Blue app in Dock Mode before it appears in Remote.
Improvements
Screenshot Indicator
When you click the Screenshot button, the button flashes blue. If there is an issue, a red banner and a notification window will appear in the video window.
Geofence Sync Status
The Dock Maintenance window now displays the last server-synced time for geofences.
Dock Disconnect Instructions
If the connection to a dock is lost, an informational message to help users reconnect will appear.
Bug Fixes
- Camera Controls: Fixed an issue where camera controls did not appear in the video window after a direct connection to the dock.
- Emergency Sites: Fixed an issue where Emergency Sites could not be created when setting an altitude greater than 0.
- Disconnected Controller: Fixed an issue where a disconnected controller appeared as “connected” after a browser refresh.
- Dedrone Altitude Display: Fixed an altitude display issue for Dedrone data.
