Keeping the correct time zone on your DJI controller ensures accurate flight logs, media timestamps, and a smooth activation process. This guide covers how to update the time zone and troubleshoot common issues across DJI RC, RC Pro, and RC 2 controllers.
When You’ll Use This

Change the Time Zone After Setup
If you skipped setup or need to update your time zone, adjust it in system settings.
DJI RC / RC Pro / RC 2
- Open Settings
Tap System
Select Date & Time
- Turn off Network Auto Update (if the time zone is incorrect)
- Manually select the correct time zone
Note: In some cases, automatic time sync may not update the time zone correctly—even when connected to Wi-Fi.
Troubleshooting: Time Zone Not Updating
- Make sure the controller is connected to Wi-Fi
- Restart the controller after changing settings
- Toggle Network Auto Update off and on again
