Ensure You're Using the Correct FreeFlight Edition 

Install the newest version of the Parrot ANAFI mobile application called FreeFlight 6 USA edition. This edition was released in March 2023 and is considered a critical update.

The FreeFlight 6 USA edition enables automatic firmware updates. If you're not running the FreeFlight 6 USA edition, this could explain some of the issues you've experienced.  

Third-Party Application Permissions

You must enable the controller to connect to 3rd party applications for DroneSense to connect to the drone and use it on the Skycontroller. You'll see a white box appear on the screen asking if you allow the app to connect to the Skycontroller. You must select OK before the box disappears or it won't allow 3rd party applications (like DroneSense, Pix4DCapture, etc.) to connect to the controller, even though the apps are running on the screen.  

If you missed selecting OK before the notification went away, first try to close out the application and reopen. If that doesn’t work, complete the following steps to re-enable 3rd party applications:

1. Swipe down on the upper portion of the screen to access the home menu. 
2. Tap the Android system connected to USB accessory notification that appears.
3. Scroll down the page and then select Charge phone only. This will reset the Android tablet.
4. Open the DroneSense application. A white notification box should appear, asking if you to allow the app to connect to the Sky Controller. Select OK before the window disappears.
