Android release 2026.12 adds Augmented Reality (AR) street and address overlays for DJI v5 drones. These overlays help pilots orient the live camera feed against real-world streets and addresses, making it easier to pick out house numbers, street names, and map markers directly in the camera view.
Supported Drone Models
AR street and address overlays are supported on the following DJI v5 drones:
- Mavic 3T
- Mavic 3E
- Matrice 4T
- Matrice 4E
- Matrice 300
- Matrice 350
- Matrice 400
Enabling AR Overlays
The AR overlay toggle lives in the aircraft camera settings panel, under the Augmented Reality tab.
- Open Settings (gear icon, top right of the flight screen).
- Tap the Augmented Reality tab (cube icon) in the left-hand settings menu.
-
Toggle Enable AR Overlay on.
Assigning a Shortcut Key
- Open Settings and tap the Remote Controller Settings tab.
- Tap 5D Buttons.
- Choose the direction you'd like to assign (for example, 5D Button Left).
-
Scroll down and select Toggle AR Overlay from the list of
available actions.
Once assigned, pressing that button in flight toggles AR overlays on and off without needing to leave the camera view.
