Update Timing Guidance for Mission-Critical Operations

App updates do not need to be installed immediately. If you are currently engaged in an active mission-such as responding to flood incidents across the country-it’s okay to wait until your mission is complete before updating.

Axon Air App Transition

The Axon Air app is transitioning to the DroneSense app and will no longer receive updates. To ensure continued support, security, and access to the latest features, users should download and install the DroneSense app.

New Features

Terrain Following for DJI v5 Drones

*DJI v5 drones include the M3, M30, M300, and M350 series.

A new Terrain Following toggle has been added to Survey and Search and Rescue (SAR) flight actions.

Surveys: Default toggle state is disabled
SAR: Default toggle state is enabled
Can be toggled while editing a flight action, but not during execution.
Saved flight plans will have the toggle disabled by default.
The setting persists through power cycles and battery swaps.

Support for DJI Zenmuse S1 Spotlight

Control support has been added for the DJI Zenmuse S1 spotlight.

Controls:

Lightning icon: Strobe toggle
Sun icon: Brightness slider (lowest setting may behave unexpectedly, consistent with DJI Pilot App 2)
Last icon: Spotlight on/off toggle

‘What’s New’ Section Added

A new ‘What’s New’ section has been added to the app update dialog. It directs users to the full release notes.

The Update Available dialog was introduced in Version 2025.6.4.
Users can choose to:

Tap Later to postpone.
Tap Download Update to install immediately.

Bug Fixes

Flight Action Editing in Air: Fixed an issue that prevented editing flight actions mid-flight. Previously, size/orientation changes were blocked, and tapping the screen could spawn additional flight actions.
Biometric Authentication: Resolved a bug where the message “Biometrics not available with multiple profiles” appeared even on devices that don’t support biometrics.
Feed Freeze on Autel Evo Max 4 Series: Fixed a bug where pressing the physical shutter buttons would freeze the video feed until a power cycle.
App Crash with CZI GL10 v1/v2 and GL60: Fixed a rare crash scenario involving these payloads.
