Adding New Hardware

New drone-related hardware is added automatically when you first use it on a flight using the flight control app. You need only spin the motors on the drone for a new drone to be recognized and automatically imported into DroneSense.

Manually Adding New Hardware

You also can manually add hardware by clicking the Add New button on the Hardware page.

Complete the following steps to manually add a new device to your organization.

1. Set the view type to the kind of device you want to add: Drone, Battery, Equipment, or Sensor.
2. Click the Add New button.
3. On the page that appears, specify the relevant information in the fields provided.
4. Click Create.

Required Fields

The following fields are required when manually entering new hardware:

• Name
• Team
• Initial Flights
• Initial Flight Time
• Stock Type (Drone, Battery, Equipment, Sensor) 
• Serial Number

The following fields are optional.

• Firmware Version
• Purchase Date
• Purchase Price
• Controller Serial Number
• Custom ID
• Registration ID
• Notes
