DroneSense supports bulk user import to a team, either from the DroneSense user interface or by importing a CSV file.
Adding Users in Bulk to an Existing Team
To bulk add members to an existing team (including the main team for the organization), open the page for the team you want to add users to and click Invite Members in the Pending Invites section of the page.
- On the page that appears, enter the First Name, Last Name, Email address, and select one or more Roles per user. Click Add Row for each new user you want to add.
- Click Send Invites when you are finished. DroneSense will send welcome emails to each user for them to set up their profile.
CSV Import
You also can import multiple users via CSV import.
You will need to structure the CSV spreadsheet to match the required format. An example CSV spreadsheet is linked at the top of the import page.
- Click Import CSV to select the CSV file you've created.
- Choose the file from the dialog that appears and click Open. DroneSense will read the CSV file and add the users you selected.
- By default, each user you specified in the CSV file will have the Ops Viewer role. Choose any other roles for each new member as needed.
- Click Send Invites when you are finished.
NOTE: For extraordinarily larger numbers of users, we recommend breaking up the list into multiple CSV files. We recommend no more than 100 new users per CSV file.
Adding Users in Bulk to a New Team
When you create a team, you can add multiple users at a time once you've completed the initial setup. However, each new user added on the New Team form must be an admin for that team.
To add non-team admin users in bulk, do so from the team page after you create the new team as you would following the instructions in the Adding Users in Bulk to an Existing Team section above.
