Parrot is planning to release a firmware update for their Anafi drones shortly. Updating to this firmware version will prevent video from connecting the drone to older versions of the DroneSense and Parrot FreeFlight6 apps. Similarly, the updated flight control apps will not be able to connect to an Anafi drone using the older firmware.
Since we do not currently know the timing of this upcoming firmware update, we wanted to alert you to be able to prepare for the changes.
Please continue to use the current version of the DroneSense app (2021.05.01) and do not upgrade your Anafi firmware from 1.7.x until the new DroneSense app is available.
Once the firmware update is available, we will release a corresponding update to the DroneSense Mobile application. At that point, you will need to use the updated FreeFlight6 app (1.8.x) to update your firmware, and then install the latest version of the DroneSense app.
To prevent accidental version mismatches, we won’t release the new version of the DroneSense app until the Anafi firmware update is available, at which point we’ll also notify you that it’s been released.
We appreciate your patience through this update process. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
