Available on DroneSense CoPilot for iOS, which is available from the Apple App Store.
Agencies with the Skydio Live Streaming and Telemetry activated can now use DroneSense CoPilot to join missions, edit their pilot call sign, drop markers, and join other agencies' missions.
It is critically important to understand that the Pilot Logged into the Skydio Controller must have the same Email Address as the Pilot utilizing CoPilot, or the functionality will not work.
Skydio Mission Selection and Streaming
Complete the following steps to use CoPilot for your agency's Skydio devices.
- Open the CoPilot application and log in.
- From the Mission Selection screen, select Skydio Streaming.
- This will bring up the Mission Selection screen, Select the Mission, Edit the Call Sign as needed, and tap Join.
The aircraft will begin streaming live video to Operations Hub once the aircraft has telemetry and an active video stream. This will also trigger any notifications, and Magic Video Links for that mission.
Known Issue: The aircraft icon on Operations Hub may indicate the aircraft is oriented north when traveling in other directions. We are working with Skydio to address this issue.
Joining Mission with Code
You can also join a mission via a mission code shared with you, such as from other users in your organization or from cooperating DroneSense agencies.
- From the Mission Selection Interface, enter the code in the text field at the top of the screen, and click the + button to search for the mission.
- Once that mission is retrieved, edit the Call Sign, and Join the mission.
Map Markers
Just as with any other DroneSense flight, Markers can be dropped via the map to interact with Operations Hub and other personnel on the mission by tapping on the Marker icon, selecting the marker you want, and placing it on the map.
