IMPORTANT: This release requires aircraft to be updated to the latest Android release (2024.4.1). If DSR operators try to connect to a drone running anything older than that, they will receive a warning and not be able to connect. You can find the latest Axon Air Mobile for Android release here.
New and Improved Features
- Remote Drones panel improvements:
- Remote Drones now grouped by Launch Sites
- Added option to view/hide Drones and Docks separately
- Updated the launch experience to include three flight options:
- Default: The drone will launch to default flight altitude per the site profile then autonomously fly until reaching the target radius using the default configured gimbal angle
- Fly to target option: Drone will launch to the default flight altitude per site profile then autonomously fly to the target
- Take off only option: Drone will launch to default flight altitude per site profile, then switch to manual sticks mode for the RO
- Added option to change the callsign for mission streamed to OpsHub when making initial control request
- Several improvements to the in-flight experience:
- Added ability to view obstacle avoidance status in flight and enable/disable
- Pilots can now enable/disable drone strobe light
- Wind speed/direction now displays in the telemetry bar
- Added new setting to default to Wide camera on takeoff and RTH
- Setting the Terrain Follow Mode will persist across flight sessions
- Added ability to zoom with mouse wheel

Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where distance to emergency site was displayed incorrectly
- Fixed an issue occasionally preventing CFS logs to load
- Fixed an issue where Magic Video Link was not available unless the mission had an active sharing code
- Fixed issue where a Remote Operator could not fly with the keyboard unless a PS5 controller was also connected
- Fixed various validation issues when creating a new launch site
- Fixed an issue where initial connects occasionally wouldn't establish
- Fixed an issue where switching to FPV would cause the wrong camera to appear active
Known Issues
- Declaring an emergency when bouncing out of a geofence causes drone to reverse until emergency is canceled
