The DroneSense CoPilot app supports screensharing the device screen on Android phones and tablets. You can use this capability to share drone footage and pilot location to Operations Hub on drones that do not have native support for DroneSense.
NOTE: Screensharing support for iPhones and iPads is coming soon!
Screensharing
- Open and log in to DroneSense CoPilot as you would the regular DroneSense flight control app.
- Once you're logged in, tap Streaming and Tracking Mission then select a mission of your choice. Optionally you can modify your callsign and select an avatar (a new drone type has been added for CoPilot).
- From the main app screen, tap screen from the camera selection pill to access the screensharing feature.
- A pop-up will appear prompting you to allow the CoPilot app to screenshare your device.
- Tap Start Now to initiate screensharing.
- Minimize CoPilot and open the app you wish to screenshare – such as using DJI Fly to control the DJI Avata. The CoPilot app will continue running in the background to stream to OpsHub. If you kill the CoPilot app, the screensharing will end.
- While you are screensharing, your location and your device screen will be shared on OpsHub.
An app notification will persist on the device notification box. - To end screensharing, leave the mission by clicking on your initials in the status bar and then click the blue arrow next to the mission name.
